Do This Before You Try To Add Hip Turn To Your Golf Swing
Golf Swing Impact
If you want to increase power in your golf swing, then improving the hip turn in your downswing will certainly help. If however you are struggling controlling the flight of your golf ball, then the hip turn is the last thing you want to focus on.
As the hips rotate in the downswing, they have a habit of pulling the arms left causing an over the top motion. This over the top motion produces a variety of different club deliveries into the ball, none of them good.
Learn to line the arm swing up to the body swing first and this will allow you to deliver the club into a powerful position at impact. When you are proficient at this, then you can implement the hip turn to increase speed.
